Terms of Service
These terms explain how you may use HanziSheets, what a Lifetime Pro purchase includes, and how Paddle handles paid transactions.
Last updated August 11, 2026
1. Agreement and eligibility
By accessing HanziSheets or creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be legally able to enter into this agreement. If local law requires parental or guardian consent, you may use an account only with that consent.
2. What HanziSheets provides
HanziSheets is an educational tool for creating printable Chinese writing-practice worksheets. Features may include stroke-order guides, pinyin, English glosses, grids, account features, and paid Pro tools.
The service supports learning and classroom preparation, but it is not a substitute for professional teaching or authoritative linguistic advice. We may correct, improve, add, or remove features as the product develops.
3. Accounts
4. Free access and usage limits
Some features are available without payment. Free limits may apply to worksheet creation, exports, saved items, or other usage. We may adjust reasonable free limits as the service evolves. Attempts to bypass technical limits or abuse shared infrastructure are prohibited.
5. Lifetime Pro
A Lifetime Pro purchase is a one-time, personal, non-transferable licence to use the Pro features included in the HanziSheets product for as long as HanziSheets continues to operate and support those features. “Lifetime” refers to the supported lifetime of this product, not the lifetime of the buyer, operator, or any third-party platform.
6. Purchases through Paddle
Paid transactions are processed by Paddle, which acts as Merchant of Record and authorised reseller for the purchase. Paddle calculates and collects applicable taxes, provides transaction documents, and handles payment-related support under its own terms.
By completing a purchase, you also agree to the Paddle Buyer Terms. Prices, currency, tax, and the exact product entitlement shown at checkout form part of your purchase.
7. Refunds and consumer rights
Refund and withdrawal requests are handled under the Paddle Refund Policy and any mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live. If HanziSheets offers an additional refund guarantee at checkout, that more favourable promise will also apply to that purchase.
8. Acceptable use
You may not use HanziSheets to:
9. Your content and generated worksheets
You keep any rights you have in text you enter. You are responsible for ensuring that your content is lawful and that you have permission to use it. Subject to third-party licences, you may use worksheets you generate for personal learning, tutoring, and ordinary classroom teaching. You may not resell third-party dictionary or stroke-order datasets as standalone content.
10. Third-party materials and services
HanziSheets uses third-party resources, including CC-CEDICT, hanzi-writer-data, hosting and delivery infrastructure, and Paddle. Those services and datasets may be governed by their own terms and licences. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.
11. Availability, termination, and warranties
We aim to keep HanziSheets reliable, but the service is provided on an “as available” basis. Temporary interruption, data loss, or feature changes can occur. To the extent allowed by law, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms limits liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be limited.
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, discontinued operation, or a material breach of these Terms.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms when the product, law, or providers change. The current version and effective date will remain posted here. Material changes affecting paid access will be communicated where reasonably possible.
For product or account questions, open a support request. Do not include passwords, payment-card details, or other sensitive information in a public request.
